Dear Mum,

I ought to be out of this joint shortly, I haven't got anything wrong with me at present. The weather is a lot better now although it's not hot by any means. I haven't had a letter for a couple of months, I suppose they are at the base. Address my letters as usual to the 59th Batt. & they should always get me. How many cows are you milking this year or is it all sheep. There is nothing to write about so I will have to close. Hoping everybody is well.

I remain your aff son,

Frank.
